We look back with pride at more than 30 years of hospitality and tradition. In 1972, our parents Herbert and Maria Wilhelm set up a tiny café by the Holzleiten Pass - the classic route from Telfs towards the Fern Pass. With untiring effort, a great deal of personal commitment and with heart and soul, they succeeded in enlarging the premises little by little.



In 1976, the 'Sattelklause' restaurant was added - a comfortable and hugely popular meeting place at that time. In the wake of various other, smaller investments, Herbert and Maria embarked on a larger challenge in 1989 - to create the Holzleiten Hotel.

Four stars were awarded to the hotel in 1990, we look at this as a promise to our clients, a promise we aspire to fulfil each day a new. Our success resulted in a multitude of awards, providing the inspiration for our next big step. Highest quality has always been the first priority at the Holzleiten, we are now giving this ambition an entirely new dimension.

On 22 May 2008 we opened the Nature and Spa Resort Holzleiten, a fine house perfectly in tune with nature and tradition, not forgetting the amenities of contemporary hospitality - and with the romance and myth of the wonderful larch tree as its motto.
